This small one bedroom apartment was redesigned to allow for a more open type of living while also taking advantage of the unique position of the apartment which had views to the north and the south. Two built-in objects, each made of a combination of light maple and stained walnut elements, fulfil precise functional requirements while opening up towards each other allowing for a continuous view from the kitchen to the bedroom.
The kitchen object also creates a large counter top, while the bedroom object holds the flat-screen while also having two large sliding doors to gain privacy for the space. The existing herringbone floor is retained in the living space, and a large format white tile defines the kitchen and dining area.
