Latitude

This three-story bar/restaurant is divided in section by a sky-lit void. An open steel stair steps up along the north wall of the void, terminating at a roof garden in the rear. Opposite the stair, a three-story volume, containing mechanical risers and restrooms, penetrates the void and connects the floors vertically. A lounge with a glass floor floats above the void and overlooks the spaces below. The windows at the top of the void are operable, creating a connection between the lounge and the outdoor terrace while creating upward airflow and natural cooling effect during summer months.
